Ownership Structure
The owners of the company publishing the newspaper are the Belgrade lawyer Vladimir Galjak and the company "Pecat MK", which is owned by the director of "Sloboden Pecat", Miroslav Jovanovic and businessman Dragan Zivkovic.
In the past ten years, as long as the newspaper has existed, its owners have often changed. One of its two founders, businessman Vladimir Koshevaliski, left the newspaper's ownership three years after its founding, and his share was bought by Aleksandar Rodic's Serbian company "Adria Media Group". This group published the Serbian daily "Kurir", as well as several other popular print publications, web portals and mobile applications. After public disagreements with the Serbian president, Aleksandar Vucic, in 2018, Rodic sold "Adria Media Group". Two years later, in 2020, he also sold his share in "Sloboden Pecat" to his friend, the Serbian lawyer Vladimir Galjak.
In the meantime, Gradimir Jovanovic also withdrew from the paper and gave his share to his son Miroslav. In the middle of 2019, Miroslav Jovanovic transferred his share to the company Pecat.mk, where he and Dragan Zivkovic are the owners.
