Minco Jordanov
Minco Jordanov owns or controls many large businesses in metallurgy, construction, healthcare, food and wine production, etc. His business empire, mainly focused on the metal business, gravitates around the British Virgin Islands offshore company, "Repro One Limited". In addition to owning the newspaper "Nova Makedonija", his offshore company is a majority shareholder of the economic and business weekly magazine "Kapital". Additionally, the company is the owner of the "Permindex" holding, which owns the "Stobi" winery, a dairy production company and a facility for packaging fresh fruits and vegetables.
Jordanov and his wife co-own a company registered in Vienna, Austria, called “Makmedikon Consulting GmbH”, which appears as an owner of the "Re-medika" private hospital. Some of the businesses include his daughters, Ana and Natasha.
Through his construction company "Beton" from Skopje, he received the contracts with the largest sums for the construction of the "Skopje 2014" project, which changed the face of the center of the Macedonian capital. Due to operational difficulties and the inability to pay for certain demands, the company went bankrupt a year ago.
Jordanov has also a political career. He was the Deputy Prime Minister for Economy in the government from 2004 to 2006, after which he was the co-founder of a political party.
